著者紹介:
■相田みつを(あいだ・みつを)
書家・詩人。本名相田光男。1924年、栃木県足利市に生まれる。1942年、旧制栃木県立足利中学校を卒業。同年に短歌や禅と出会い、その後、独得の世界観を書として表現する。1984年『にんげんだもの』(文化出版局)、1987年『おかげさん』(ダイヤモンド社)を出版。1991年、脳内出血により永眠。享年67歳。1996年、東京・銀座に相田みつを美術館開館し、2003年、東京・有楽町の東京国際フォーラムに移転。著書多数。相田みつを美術館公式サイト:http://www.mitsuo.co.jp/

He has created numerous works in a unique calligraphic style that portrays how people ought to live as human beings. The total number of copies of all his publications sold exceeds 10 million. From among these works we’ve carefully selected 31 of Mitsuo Aida’s most popular pieces to be contained in this e-book.
■Chronology of Mitsuo Aida
Calligrapher and Poet. Mitsuo Aida was born in 1924 in Ashikaga, Tochigi prefecture. He was attracted to brush-and-ink calligraphy and tanka poetry in his pre-World War II middle-school days. Later, he established his original style based on My Words My Writing, producing a great number of artworks. Mitsuo Aida passed away in 1991 at the age of 67.
